The local shop, Plockton Shores is small but well-stocked and they have an excellent selection of wines and whiskies. There is a large co-op supermarket in Kyle five miles away for a wider range of provisions. There are shops in Kyle for fresh baked goods and a first-rate butcher’s shop. The butcher stocks Aberdeen Angus beef and the best Scottish haggis in Scotland which comes from Dingwall.
The local paper shop in Plockton stocks all the major tabloid, broadsheet newspapers and magazines and also a selection of gift items and cards. Plockton has its own artist’s gallery, the Studio, which has an extensive range of gifts, cards, artwork and local jewellery.

The Plockton Post Office is near the Old Pier. Opening times vary in winter and in summer. There is also internet access at the library in the Village Hall.
Fresh fish and prawns can be purchased at the Old Pier when the local boats come in at around 3 p.m. A fish van comes to the village every week and carries a large selection of fresh and smoked fish. A Butchers van comes to the village on Wednesday and sells outstanding Aberdeen Angus beef and local lamb.
